I have moved my Library a few times and I lost my playlists and ratings and comments and so much more transferring to a larger drive.
This article that Apple put together works great. I just followed it moving to my 2TB drive and it worked great. Just follow the instructions to the letter and you won't have any problems and you don't loose anything.
