I love this application. Check out jump desktop to control your mac or pc remotely from anywhere. All it requires is the app installed on your iPad and also a client installed on your PC or Mac.

I signed up for ATT U-Verse on August 17th and at the time no limitations on internet and then they came out and installed it today and said on the way out the door, by the way, you can only use up to 250GB of internet per month.
