Freedom
The government at times has advised us about what is good or bad for us. Yet, we have had the free will to follow this advice or not. There was no danger of losing our freedom if we didn’t follow government advice. People were free to do what they thought was best for them. The freedom to make decisions has always been held high. With freedom bad decisions can be made, but we learn from our mistakes.
Ten percent of our population is without health insurance. This supposedly justifies mandating everyone buy insurance or face the loss of property and /or your freedom. There is nothing at this time the government can force you to buy where the only option is death or the loss of property or your freedom. Are we to become a nation where a few people decide what we need to buy, and then force us to buy it?
Once something becomes the law of the land, laws of similar nature can be passed because a precedent has been set. I don’t know of any other country that has the same freedom we enjoy.
If the adventure is over, I sure enjoyed the ride. I will work hard to help restore the freedom we have today.
