Here are 4 of the 15 demands the UCI student’s gave to Chancellor Michael Drake to consider:
• Rewrite UCI’s financial aid to cover all educational expenses (including housing) and be more accessible to low-income students
• Directly hire all outsourced campus workers as university employees with appropriate salaries and benefits.
• Fully fund a UCI recruitment and retention center for underrepresented minority students to increase campus diversity.
• Take no legal or disciplinary action against the 11 students who were arrested for protesting Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren’s speech at UCI.
